Grand Reopening of The Guildford Hotel's Vaudeville Theatre: A WA Heritage Gem Revived

The Guildford Hotel, a cherished venue in the heart of Guildford, recently unveiled its latest addition: The Hall, a beautifully revitalised version of the historic Vaudeville Theatre. This grand reopening marks the return of a beloved heritage site to the community, blending rich history with modern amenities, such as cutting-edge audiovisual equipment, making it a perfect gathering spot for the community once again.

Originally constructed in 1897 by George Hiscox, the hotel's first licensee, the Vaudeville Theatre was a bustling hub of entertainment for generations. It was an extension of the Guildford Hotel, designed to bring theatre, music, and joy to the locals. Over the years, the theatre played host to countless performances and gatherings, making it an integral part of Guildford's cultural fabric.

Fast forward to today, and the Vaudeville Theatre has been lovingly restored and reimagined as The Hall, preserving its historical significance while breathing new life into the space.

In collaboration with the Australian Venue Co., PAV was proud to contribute to this restoration by equipping The Hall with cutting-edge audiovisual equipment. This ensures that while the venue retains its old-world charm, it also meets the modern needs of today's guests, providing a versatile and vibrant space perfect for any occasion.

The Hall's grand reopening is more than just the revival of a building; it's the resurrection of a community gathering place where West Australians can make memories once more - a place where everyone can come together to catch up with friends over a meal or watch their favourite sports on the big screen.
