Running on Steam Power: Energy Club WA & Society of Petroleum Engineers WA 2021 Industry Gala Ball

The elegant romance of Victorian fashion was fused with post-apocalyptic steam-powered industry to transform the Crown Ballroom into a dystopian wasteland for the Energy Club WA & Society of Petroleum Engineers WA 2021 Industry Gala Ball.

PAV provided steampunk theming, lighting, audio, vision, and event management for the event.

A giant picture frame with up-lit red ruched drapery marked the pre-event photo wall and guests were greeted on entry with a one-of-a-kind Champagne flute serving dress.

The stage set was designed to reflect a theoretical retro-futuristic world.

Truss elements featured on stage, including a curved truss lectern. A custom-made pipe system emitted ‘steam’ from smoke cannons connected backstage.

A “Dessert Bar” and “Lounge Bar”, constructed from illuminated bars with custom signage designed in-house, were located at the rear of the room, .

Lisa Woodbrook was MC for the evening and O Entertainment provided the floor show acts.

Little Belle played three sets to finish the night.
